"No Walk Policy" versus "Everyday Honest Pricing"
Some funeral homes, especially those with extraordinarily high prices, have what they call a "No Walk Policy." If you go to their firm and pick out a casket which costs $4800, that's the price you are going to pay. Most people do not compare prices in advance of need Because of the time constraints and emotional difficulties of the situation when the time of need occurs, they usually don't shop around. But suppose you knew that you could buy the same casket or one identical in quality for hundreds or thousands of dollars less from someone else. If you confronted them with that fact and they had a "No Walk Policy," they might say something like this:
Oh, we'll match anybody's prices. If you show us what it is, we will match the price. And besides, you don't know if their quality is going to be the same or if it will get here on time."
And they might match it. But you are the only one who is going to get that price - the rest of the world is going to pay their everyday high prices.
A Fairer Way
We don't think that type of policy is honest or fair. Shouldn't there be one price for everyone? A funeral is an expensive proposition, no matter what; and for many people it is a severe financial burden. Is it fair for someone else to get a big discount just because they knew they could get a better price?
How does it make you feel about the professionalism of a firm that has a policy like this? Are these the type of people to whom you want to entrust your loved one? Furthermore, if you found that the casket price was lower, what about their service charges? Do you know if you are paying the lowest price for them?
Everyday Honest Pricing
Our caskets are priced fairly; we think they are the lowest you can find in any funeral firm in the Chicago area and we back this up with our price guarantee. If you purchase a casket from us and within 30 days you find another funeral firm in the Chicago metropolitan area that has the identical or equivalent casket listed in their Casket Price List, we will change our price on that casket for everyone, and make a donation to your favorite charity in the amount of $100 for bringing it to our attention. And in addition we will refund the difference between what you paid and the price listed on their Casket Price List. We hope you agree that this is a much more honest approach to pricing.
Our prices for funeral services are similarly competitively priced. While we feel that we are among the lowest in the Chicago area, we also pride ourselves on the professionalism and truly caring attitudes of our entire staff. We believe that Richard Lamb Funeral Service and Resource Center offers the best value when comparing price and service. We also do our best to serve those in the community whose resources are limited with same dignity, caring, and professionalism we give every family.
We welcome your inquiry. Stop in, call or email us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. If we can't serve you in the way you desire, we'll even drive you to the funeral home of your choice. That's our "No Walk Policy."
